August 2006: JAZZ FUNERAL FOR DEMOCRACY has been chosen as an OFFICIAL SELECTION of the 2006 Golden Lion Film Festival.
July 2006: JFFD won "Honorable Mention"at the ReelHeART International Film Festival in Toronto.
June 2006: A "Mentions Speciales" certificate was awarded to Jazz Funeral for Democracy by Festival du Film de Strasbourg.
The next showing of Jazz Funeral for Democracy is scheluded Saturday June 24, 2006 7pm at the ReelHeART International Film Festival(RHIFF) Toronto, Canada inside Innis Town Hall.

On May 13, 2006"Jazz Funeral for Democracy" won the Audience Choices Award at the First Sweet Auburn International Celebrating Cultures in Motion Film Festival held at the Auburn Research Library in Atlanta, Georgia.
On May 1, 2006 Jazz Funeral for Democracy was pre-selected by the Festival du film de Strasbourg.
